Day 2 Surgery Posting

spent at home doing, ehem "self-teaching" cause i am suppose to be free until the end of this posting this Friday. After 2weeks (1week of actual holiday+1week of free time doing nothing+the whole 2weeks of wondering why the hell didn't i go home in the first place *sour*) of holiday which consist of series of intense sleeping-eating marathon, occasional heavy shopping and long hours of Angry Birds, an extra week of "holiday" is kind of redundant. I think i shall go rusty if i don't do any studying so i declare that i shall be productive this week and probably finish reading up a few surgical chapter!!*ambitious*

on another note, guess who is excited for CNY?!

ME! ME! ME! wtf. All the free time on surgical posting do come handy in time of holiday season cause i can go back early for CNY and that means i'm gonna be home by next Friday! *bananamandarineorangedance*

All this excitement is making me hard to concentrate on being productive. wtf.

i always love to go shopping during the festive season the mall decoration is always so amazing especially during christmas. went out planning to watch narnia today but damn ticket sold out like hot cakes so ended up shopping   (again, sigh i know T___T) instead.

seriously, whoever did the mall deco at midvalley did a splendid job the deco is so CUTE!! there's 6-7 foot teddy everywhere and they were soft, squishy and oh so huggable. everytime i saw one i just had to resist the urge to run towards it and just hug it. seriously. but i didn't coz i'm a freaking 20 something T_____T.

eh, but wait. what i'm-a-20-something-so-i-don't-go-and-run-towards-the-cute-huggable-teddy?

And I just finish with my viva yesterday and I think the lecturer have some kind of psychic power cause she ask all the the only things that I know. Double yay!!

Gonna be home for midterm holiday after all!

After all the rumor and misunderstanding have finally cleared up, I now can haz my holiday wtf. And I finally can go back home to see my Cooper. Who by the way had grown so big I wonder if he would even recognize me anymore cause the he was only 2 weeks old by the time I was forced to go back to this god forsaken place:( Oh and he just turned 3, er month that is yesterday!!

And it suddenly slipped my mind that how amazing it is for me to still feel this eager to go back home even though it's been 6 years since I left home for school (6 freaking years!!). You got to admit even by then you should have thought that I would kinda be, so I am going back home tomorrow and what's for dinner? and act like as if it is just like any other day but to me it is the total opposite, going back home is THE thing that I always look forward to most. It's like going for a vacation only the vacation is your own home, sleeping on your bed, eating your mum's cooking, 24 hours cable, unlimited internet and...ok I'm gonna stop right there. *Sigh*

This probably explained why I don't go out much while I'm home and the post-holiday/vacay weight gain wtf.

Can't wait to finish up this posting and just pack my bag and go back home! But first, there is still my case write up, long case and short case to be worry about.

Its been eons in techno-years since I last updated this blog. Exam was long done for this semester, I have been home since last Thursday and currently have a highly flatulence pregnant dog sitting on my lap :) forever and even my pregnant dog had become a proud mummy now. Yes I am a lazy lazy blogger :( and right now I am wondering is there anyone left reading my blog *sigh*

Just few more hour then home I'll be! 

Even though I'm gonna spend the holiday with a few assignments under my belt I am still oh so excited! Cause I promise myself only to worry about them after the 2nd day of CNY *boo. I know 2nd seems to be too early and to be honest I don't even trust myself to have such will power to do so. T_____T

But there's always a first for everything. Thus, on this special occasion I'm gonna bury the cynic within me and for once believe that I have the will power to start doing my assignment after the 2nd day of CNY *determined*

BUTTT for now,

I can't wait to come home and see all the familiar faces.

A little power pop to kick start that Valentine's Day spirit.

Went to my friend's house for Christmas cum New Year celebration.

There's good food, drinks and great company involved.

Had great fun keeping up with everyone but things are not so great for my hepatocytes though. But you gotta let loose for New Year right?

Anyway speaking of food, I brought some finger sandwiches for the party.

And guess what? It's a hit! *proud*

I felt like so aunty kept on repeating my recipe for the whole night but hey as long as I'm not sending people to the loo I'm not complaining =D

And for the purpose of sharing and keeping record of MY recipe *cough*, I'm gonna post them up here. I know you're dying to know it anyway. Haha.

Finger Sandwich recipe:

• 1 can of Tuna in water (drained)
  
• 1 packet of Crab stick (boiled and shredded)
  
• 4 Hard boiled eggs
  
• 1 Cucumber
• 1 Carrot
• 2 Green Pear
  
• 1 Red Apple
• 1 Lime
• Few dollop of Mayonnaise 
• Salt and Pepper to taste.
• Italian spices (optional)
• Bread (toasted)

Instruction:

1. Finely diced the cucumber, carrot, pear, apple and the egg WHITE and mix them. This is the only painstaking things to do through out the process I promise. Cause you got to make sure you diced them as finely as you possibly could (e.g. 1mm cube for example wtf) cause you don't want your sandwich filling to be clumpy.
   
2. Mix the egg YOLK, mayonnaise and lime juice together till it smooth and creamy.
3. Flaked the tuna and mix it with the shredded crab stick. Make sure you've drained the water or your sandwich will turnout soggy and disgusting. Not good.
4. Mix 1+2+3+salt+pepper into one big happy family. And spread it on your toasted bread. You can use non toasted bread if you serve it immediately but I had to use toasted bread cause I don't want my sandwich to become soggy during dinner.
5. Cut the crust or don't cut up to you I think it is just for the matter of presentation anyway, divide the sandwich into 4 and voila you have your finger sandwich!
   

Makes A LOT. I ended up using 1 jumbo Gardenia + 2 normal wholewheat bread and still have extra filling. Which of course gladly nom up by yours truly.

You know I can't help it but to feel like Martha Stewart when posting this recipe up but in a non-professional way. LOL

I just stayed at home and enjoy fireworks from KLCC, Dataran Merdeka, Bukit Bintang and a little bit of Genting right at the comfort of my balcony.

How did you celebrate your New Year's eve?

Gotta wrap up everything from 2009 and throw/store them somewhere now.

Only Japanese restaurant can make you dine in an itsy-bitsy cubicle for two and still doesn't make you feel claustrophobic. But then again I am not claustrophobic so don't take my word wtf. 

However, I somehow find it hard not to stare at the person on cubicle opposite me. There is nothing else to look. Cause it's either the wall or you T__________T.

Caviar sushi. Just your normal fish roe.

I find it a bit too salty for my liking though.

Finally, after a long period of 'shoe-fasting'. ehem..and by shoe I mean heels.
