Brown paper LOVE

Sunday, December 20, 2009

It's 9pm and it is raining outside. Finally KL started to feel colder and by that comfortable. I no more need the service of a stand fan and sleeping half naked now wtf. I could cuddle up nicely in a bundle now in my teeny tiny blanket and sleep away without a care in the world. A feeling which of course only limited to Friday sadly to say since I could not afford to waste too much time being sashayed away into oblivion.

The new module practically eating away my soul T___T. The stuff to remember is just overwhelming. It's not helpful at all when the Boyfriend give some random quiz about the module I just simply could not remember what I've studied before. Great. I feel so bad for myself. not be able to answer the quiz makes me feel like I'm a complete idiot plus I could see the disappointment in your eyes. It kills me more. But no fret as pessimist as I sounds deep down inside it kinda awaken my inner competitive spirit (yes, I need that deep to dig it out *sigh*) and to do better. So maybe next time when you ask me that quiz I'll do better aye? But don't ask me right away I need to studied for it first! wtf competitive spirit fail. BUT believe me I am SERIOUS. seriously!!

I got a care package from mom today! (read: food package). I was suppose to receive it on Thursday but the bitchy clerk at the office could not answer a simple yes/no question during her lunch break. Hence, I am only able to retrieve it today(Sunday). So here it is brown paper love.

For you who have not taste this. Two word. Cracker heaven wtf.

My mum. "You'll never have too much of health food." Even her junk food is healthy (minus the crab cracker). Codfish seaweed anyone?

I love my weekends. My first weekend as a 21 year old. Gosh I am that old. I can't believe I'm like all grown up now. I could still remember back in the day when I was still a little girl how I always wished that I would grow up as soon as possible and do what grown up do. Wear heels, have boobs (I really do!) wear makeup and be all lady like and such (I know, how naive right?) and now that I'm older, numerical wise, deep down I still felt like I'm that little heels, curve (hello butt!) and makeup wearing girl. So the question is when will the mental maturity come by? 30? Why does it feels like I have a maturity of a ferret.

Sigh It's late I have major reading to do for tomorrow's 8am tutorial session and I still didn't know which group I am in. Lets just hope that I am not, NOT in a group that postpone class if not major wtf.

9.30pm. Don't feel like showering in this cold weather. I smell like coffee, and KFC.

Fine. I'll go.

I smell roses

Friday, September 18, 2009

These smells heavenly. I just love the smell of roses. The scent have this power that could unleash my inner femininity wtf. Some people might relate rose scent to mature, old, or vintage, but I think rose is more like the LBD of scent. It never fades, it always going to smell nice plus it is oh so romantic.

Rosewater is actually
has certain antiseptic and anti bacterial properties. So you can use it for skin inflammation and acnes. It also can be use to reduce wrinkles and fine line. Not forgetting the scent, so aromatherapeutic^^, My room smells like roses now. I like!

I haven't tried it yet though, coz I am still looking for a soap box. Can't wait!

Bought 3pcs (2 rosewater with cold cream + 1 rosewater glycerin soap) save me RM22 from the original price RM55. Thanks miu for such a great bargain. =)

Holga 135BC, mine.

The said Holga!!

When I first got the package I was like are you kidding me? It's soo light! Is it even there? So instinctively I shake the packages just to make sure I wasn't punk'd. So uhm of course after I heard the rattling I stopped immediately before I traumatize the poor thing. I was getting so excited I forgot to take the package picture before I ripped it T^T

The walk from the college to my room took all my patience away ngegege.. But I do manage to notice that the dealer stated
'mainan' on the item description which was cute, TOY camera = mainan geddit?

Found underneath all those bubble wrap.

Scratch-free and safe from my violent act =)

See the lense cover!! How to open? Like opening your tupperware lid. Yes. So plastic right?

In fact this baby is almost 100% made of plastic including the lense! Why almost? Metal for the screw, springs, and some other thing to hold all of the Holga 135BC awesomeness together.
The camera function sans battery thus, after every take you need to turn the film MANUALLY using that knob thingy next to the viewfinder. Sigh I am illiterate in such thing so bear with me here.

The side view! Owh and it have this focus ring which suppose to allow you to change your focus thingy. I am not helpful do I? Oh well. Let us go to a more superficial approach coz I'm better in that sense wtf.

Like why I choose black for instance,

1) cheaper. Cool coloured one would cost a few bucks more.
2) imagine bringing this out to the street.

*stole the pic from the internet. Thank you!

Exactly.

3) cause most of the camera accessories is in black so I wont look mismatch.
4) Black goes with everything.
5) Black suppose to look professional despite the irony of the 'professional' camera being plastic *shifty eyes*
6) Can I just say that it is awesome so it doesn't really matter what color I choose?
7) Okay I ran out of reason.

So I am gonna work really hard to finish my roll of film and look for tons of black&white film to play with during the raya holiday ^.^

For now I'm just hoping I didn't screw up my 1st roll *nervous*

p/s: Many thanks to the awesome peeps from roflcam for their wonderful service! If you're interested in Lomography and want to buy a camera (esp Holga) do go check out their blog and ask around they'll be happy to help you =)

p/p/s:
rolfcam is currently having a raya sale! damnit I should've waited T^T

They're Here!

Finally!

This is what I've been up to earlier this week. Online shopping! I never really was a fan of online shopping before as I had time trusting a middle person to carry around my purchase and the fact that I need to use my imagination to browse the item. But everything changed when I found out about Rootote, I really love the cute and simple designs that they have and instantly fall in love with it. But just one setback it is so expensive not to mention the cost of the shipping!

Luckily, I found out about TinyTapir. Other than selling reusable sanitary pads(I seriously never knew this kind of thing even existed prior to this!) this Malaysia based environmental friendly website also sells Roototes. Although in a lesser variety than of the Australian based but hey its better than nothing right? So, after long consideration I've decided to buy a rootote.

cute isn't it?

The procedures was easy when it comes to payment and the owner was very efficient. And I received my Rootote within 5days.

Its hard to not to get addicted to these things I tell you. After my successfull purchase with TinyTapir, I started browsing on Loving Minerals which is also another Malaysia based website for mineral makeup. I've long heard about this company and how well their service are. And I have just one word to describe them-->FAST!

The package+discount coupon! (bad omen for my bank account T__T)

It took only 3days for me to get my purchase. Well suppose to be 3days lah since I've missed the 1st delivery attempt I had to wait for the second attempt which is today. And I bought:

Monuave lipgloss+my FREE Everyday Mineral eyeshadow sample in Honey Brown

I am actually quite impressed by the product quality as I didn't expect it to be that good. Personally I loves the eyeshadow. The powder is really smooth and it doesn't crease that much. I am sure gonna get myself a few other colour next time since I have a discount coupon to be used (though its only 5% it is sooo tempting, Damn that loving minerals business strategy!!).
